The USA ATTACHMENTS THL Thumb Long is a quick coupler style thumb designed for the SY35U compact excavator. A thumb works with the bucket to grip, hold, and place material that a bucket alone cannot handle securely. It is commonly used on job sites for handling brush, logs, rocks, concrete debris, pipe, and demolition waste.

By pairing the bucket with a fixed thumb, the operator can pick up and position irregular or oversized items with greater control. This helps with site cleanup, land clearing, utility work, and material sorting, and it reduces the need for a second person or machine to hand-place awkward loads. The long thumb style generally offers extended reach over the bucket, which suits larger or bulkier material.

This model is listed as a long thumb for use with a quick coupler, which indicates it is intended for machines set up for quick coupler attachment changes. No further specifications were provided, so buyers should confirm fitment, pin configuration, and coupler compatibility with their SY35U before purchase. In general, excavator thumbs are built from steel plate and mount to the stick, working in line with the bucket's digging and curling motion.

Contractors in excavation, site development, landscaping, land clearing, demolition, and utility installation commonly use thumb attachments on compact excavators. Rental managers and fleet owners also find them useful for adding versatility to a SY35U without needing additional equipment.
