The USA Attachments THL Thumb Long (Quick Coupler) for SY35U is an excavator thumb attachment for the SY35U compact excavator equipped with a quick coupler. A thumb works against the bucket to grip and hold material, letting the operator pick up, carry, and place irregular objects that a bucket alone cannot secure. Common applications include handling rock, logs, brush, concrete debris, and pipe.

Adding a thumb expands what a mini excavator can do on the job site. Operators can sort demolition debris, load stumps and brush, place landscape boulders, and position materials with more control. This reduces the need for manual labor or a second machine for material handling, which keeps small crews productive in tight spaces where compact excavators are often used.

This model is a long-style thumb intended for machines running a quick coupler. A quick coupler adds distance between the stick and the bucket, so a longer thumb is generally needed for the thumb tines to meet the bucket properly. This configuration lets SY35U owners keep the speed of quick attachment changes while maintaining effective gripping and clamping.

Excavator thumbs like this are used by landscaping contractors, site preparation and land clearing crews, demolition contractors, utility installers, and rental fleets that support SY35U compact excavators on residential and light commercial projects.
