50 Years. Still Building.
In 1976, 18-year-old Rick Newman founded Newman Tractor Truck Sales with the drive to build something that would last. Fifty years later, we’re five branches strong across three states, supporting customers nationwide with equipment sales and rentals.
A lot has changed. The way we do business hasn’t. Work hard, speak true, and earn trust. We’re grateful to everyone who helped us get here and are still hungry for what’s next.

1976
At just 18, Rick Newman
founds Newman Tractor Truck
Sales in Northern Kentucky.
1996
The business purchases its
first branch location.
1997
Tri-State Rentals launches,
expanding the business into
equipment rental.
2001
Verona becomes home to the
company headquarters.
2009
The first Florida branch is
established in Bartow.
2015
Richwood adds capacity in
Northern Kentucky.
2021
The team grows to 71 employees
as a second Florida branch
opens in Apopka.
2022
Operations expand into St.
Clairsville, Ohio.
2026
St. Clairsville relocates to Belmont, Ohio as Newman Tractor marks 50 years with five branches and 117 employees total.

Our rental fleet gives contractors, municipalities, and independent operators access to well-maintained, job-ready equipment, ready to hit the dirt running.
We carry multiple brands and rent heavy equipment nationwide across agriculture, pipeline, construction, reclamation, and more. Availability isn't limited to what's on our lot either as part of a nationwide network, if we don't have it, we can get it!

HEAVY EQUIPMENT FOR A HIGHER PURPOSE
Newman Tractor has always been more than a dealership. The people we serve are the same people we see at local events, and on the jobsite.
From hands-on equipment fun benefitting A Special Wish Foundation, to supporting domestic violence survivors through I Am A Safe Place, providing relief with MOD (Masters of Disasters), and feeding kids through GO Pantry, we show up for our neighbors in the ways that matter most.
We volunteer our time, donate equipment, and show up, because these organizations strengthen the same communities where we live and work. Whether it's a family getting back on their feet, a child receiving a meal, or rebuilding after disaster, Newman Tractor is proud to stand alongside the people doing that work every day.
A Day to Play
Newman Tractor hosted A Day to Play, a hands-on community event with heavy equipment and EMS vehicles, benefiting A Special Wish Ohio Valley Chapter and their mission to grant wishes for kids with life-threatening illnesses.
Urban Outreach & The Lord’s Gym
We’re proud to support Urban Outreach Ministry and Lord's Gym in Covington, Kentucky, a faith-based organization transforming lives through youth boxing, addiction recovery, and community outreach.
Helping Solve The Water Crisis
Clean water is something most of us never think twice about. Newman Tractor partners with We Are The Ripple (WATR), a nonprofit building wells in underserved communities across Uganda.
